Join European Cities Marketing!
You can become member of the network as full, associate or affiliate member.
Full members
Full members are official tourism and meetings industry organisations from a European city fully complying with at least three of the following conditions:
• more than 100,000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area
• more than 3,000 hotel beds or 1,500 hotel rooms in the metropolitan area
• capacity to host meetings of at least 500 persons in one plenary room and provide enough facilities for breakout and catering
• at least three international meetings per year with a minimum of 400 delegates coming from at least three countries during the last three years
Full members may be elected to the Board. They have the right to vote at the ordinary and extraordinary General Assembly.
Associate members
Cities and venues which meet with at least two of the conditions stipulated above may apply as associate members.
they may join all projects and activities and have a consultative vote at the ordinary and extraordinary General Assembly. Associate members are not eligible to the Board.
Affiliate members
Companies and organisations interested in tourism and/or meetings industry and favouring the interests of European Cities Marketing and its members may be accepted as affiliate members.
Affiliate members cannot be part of Working Groups but can share their knowledge and experience during Knowledge Group sessions, open to all members.
They have a consultative vote at the ordinary and extraordinary General Assembly. They are not eligible to the Board. Affiliate members can use ECM logo with approval from the Board and under a license for one year at a time.
Annual Fees
The association is composed of two forums: Tourism and Conventions. You can choose one of them or join both.
The membership fee in 2011 for full and associate members is €500. The fee must be accompanied by a financial participation to join at least one Forum (€1700 per Forum).
The total fee for full and associate members in 2011 in one forum is € 2200.
For cities wishing to join the second forum, there is an additional participation of € 1700. The membership fee of 500 € has not to be paid twice and gives one vote to the city only. The fee for members in both forums is therefore € 3900.
The membership fee for affiliate members in 2011 is €3900.
